Haydn Hanna is a trained primary school teacher with additional experience in other areas of education, including college level distance studies facilitation, e-learning development and teaching English as a foreign language. After graduating from Queen’s University with a degree in Religious Studies, Haydn began a career in social work. This career path was short lived, as he eventually moved to the U.K. to live for several years. After working for one year as a teacher’s assistant in a primary school in the U.K., Haydn trained to become a primary school teacher, and taught in a U.K. primary school for two years before returning to his home province of Ontario to continue his career in education as an e-learning developer and Outschool teacher. Haydn’s role with The Mars Society of Canada is in keeping with his professional life as an educator. He is currently developing the Mars Explorer Program, an open-sourced, Mars themed curriculum for primary children (and perhaps someday secondary aged children!).Most importantly, Haydn is a Montreal Canadiens fan, and a big believer that hockey, along with Kraft Dinner and dill pickle chips, should be exported to Mars.
